Born just nine days apart, we’ve grown up side by side as sisters. From celebrating birthdays together as kids to spending countless hours on video call, truly from the crack of dawn to falling asleep and waking up still on the phone, every day. We’ve laughed together, cried together, made up random dance choreographies in my living room together. She’s been the Monica to my Jenny. And now, I couldn’t be happier to stand by her side as she steps into this beautiful new chapter and says “I do.” Fun facts: 1.One of the coolest things I’ve ever done is go on a hot air balloon ride. 2.I love going to concerts. I’ve been to 38 concerts (and counting) 3.I’m part of the 0.01% of the population that doesn’t like chocolate.

I met Emmanuel about 8 years ago on the campus of Andrews University. He had heard from one of his singing buddies that there was a new Ghanaian boy on campus. He came to my room to find me and gave me a nice welcome. I was ecstatic to hear some Twi away from home. Since then, we have shared so many lovely memories. Lots of laughter doing silly things, lots of sports, lots of conversations, and lots of videos and pictures of him sleep-watching things on my TV. “Asante leave the tv on, I’m watching it”)come back 2mins and the tv is watching him sleep. I am so incredibly proud of the man Emmanuel has grown to be, and I am exceedingly honored to be his best man on this day as him and Angie tie the knot! I don’t have three fun things about me so let me make it up for you 1. I speak Chinese, I am a neurosurgeon, and I can eat with my eyes closed. Okay let me be serious. Three fun things about me. 1. I love meeting new people and learning about them, their culture, language etc. I love languages. 2. At 19yrs, I moved to the US. I did not know hardly anyone here. Did not have anyone to even pick me up from the airport. But God is so merciful and faithful. He took care of me every step of the way. 3. I could play football ( soccer) all day if I had the stamina for it. I just love that sport so much.

Koo Emma - aside from him being family and a cousin to me, we always had a lot of interest growing up as well; our love for Jollof 😂, for sports, video games, music (back in my singing days). I remember how many times I used to beat this guy in nba2k😂. Through all that, I will like to think he’s made a huge impact in my life as I did to his life. I’m so proud of the man he has become today and I can’t wait for his next chapter as a husband, a leader and ultimately a father. Three Fun Things About me 1. I met Emmanuel around 2010 at North Bronx church . Funny thing is we weren’t too fond of each other heading into my first youth camp. After that youth camp we become the best of brothers , laughing buddies, basketball buddies and piano buddies.
