FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP online at this website by April 16, 2021

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 4:30pm at St. Luke's Chapel and you may begin arriving at 4pm. The reception begins at the Charleston Yacht Club at 6pm.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is metered street parking along Ashley Avenue, Bee Street, and Rutledge Avenue for the ceremony. MUSC has a parking garage at 158 Ashley Avenue that is mainly for patients, but may be used if no other street parking can be found. There is also city parking at Charleston Yacht Club for an hourly fee, but the marina tends to be very, very busy on weekends. You will need to pay at the booth when leaving. We *highly* suggest carpooling or using Uber/Lyft for the day!

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Please let us know ASAP so we can communicate with our caterer. We can also accommodate vegan/vegetarian diets.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We wish everyone could come celebrate with us! Unfortunately our capacity is limited due to space restrictions and COVID guidelines. Unless your invitation and RSVP include your significant other or a guest, please do not bring a date. We hope you understand!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are not providing transportation, however there are parking options available at both the ceremony and reception venues.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love kiddos! However, similar to our "plus one" policy, space restrictions and COVID guidelines are making it difficult to accommodate everyone. We are only allowing children of our close friends and family. Unless your invitation specifies "and family", please do not bring children to the event. If you need local babysitter recommendations, let us know!

Question

How are you managing COVID-19?

Answer

We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although the COVID-19 crisis has created much uncertainty, as of now, we will be proceeding with our wedding on May 29, 2021. We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but based on the current CDC guidelines and the recommendations of our state, we feel that by the spring, it will be safe to gather and celebrate (fingers crossed that the majority of people will be vaccinated by then!). We will keep you informed if that should change, however, so please continue to check out our website for updates. Please also feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and we cannot wait to be together with you in person again!
