In the beginning of 2022, we were both going through something pretty horrific. We both got tossed aside by our previous significant others. We both went online, not ever expecting to find our soul mate. When we saw each other, it was instant. We both knew we had to get to know each other more. After a month of talking, I (Emma) finally asked Dakota to be my girlfriend. (She will say that I didn't make the first move, but don't listen to her). After a year, we moved in together, Dakota, Bailey, and I created a little family that we didn't know we needed . In June of 2022, I lost one of my closest friends and it hit me hard. I knew at this time. Dakota would have to decide if she wanted to put up with me. She stuck by me like no one else I had ever been with. In December of 2022, 5 months later, I lost my other best friend. I knew by this time that Dakota would not be able to handle me going through something like this again, especially so soon after. She was so patient, so caring, and so kind. This isnt to emphasize anyone else, but to draw attention to the fact that this amazing, beautiful, kind woman continued choosing me over and over again. by this time I knew, without a doubt, she was the only person I wanted to share my struggles with. We have been through the world together, taking on things I never thought I would have to. But she stood by me. Everytime I look at her I still get nervous. I can never stop thinking of that perfect thing to say to her, hoping she won't ever lose interest in me. I thrive off of making her smile and lighting up her gorgeous brown eyes that she hates. I can be forever grateful I have someone that loves me for me, and someone that I look at, with everything, and loving them FOR their flaws, not in spite of them. I cannot wait to make this day official and finally call her my wife. Thank you for giving me this chance to take the ride with you, forever. Thank you for giving me a daughter.
