Nick was really interested in cameras...or so Emma thought! Nick had seen where Emma had recently traveled to Maine for a friends wedding (He had always wanted to go but had never been.) He noticed her love for cameras and decided to ask a few questions about which camera would be suitable for his outdoor hunting trips. Emma, being completely oblivious spent hours talking to this perfect stranger about traveling and cameras (they had mutual friends but had never met). The two continued talking about cameras and adventures for the next few weeks (Emma still didn't take the hint- Nick didn't care about cameras). Conversations slowly changed from cameras to craft beer and it was decided that the two of them should meet up and have a drink! Emma secretly hoped she was being *catfished*(He seemed too good to be true) while Nick was hoping that this girl would be just as awesome in person! Finally the two met at the Green Turtle, talked for hours without stopping and decided they should maybe try to make it a regular thing!
Nick and Emma are full of adventure, but one of their most memorable trips had been to Maine. In the late summer - early fall of 2017 the couple decided that they should finally take a trip to Maine together (after all it was the place Nick first asked Emma about). They loaded up the truck, threw the kayaks and fishing poles on the racks and headed north! As everyone knows, road trips are adventures all on their own! The first vital lesson they learned while road tripping was to ALWAYS opt for the hotel when needing to rest (a night in the truck left much to be desired!) After the small hiccup, the two found themselves in their own little oasis right outside of Eastbrook Maine. They fished...A LOT... with great success! They ate A LOT of lobster (commercial and home cooked). They adventured all around and made friends with some awesome locals (Miss Annettes Whoopie pies and blueberry pancakes fed us for days!!) On a day trip into Bar Harbor (Raining of Course) Emma decided Nick needed to see Acadia National Park. The harbor was completely fogged in, the sky filled with storm clouds and the air thick with water - but the 2 continued to have fun exploring all that the park had to offer! The trip was amazing and the couple learned so much about vacationing with one another - and they made a promise to come back as often as they could! When it came down to picking a location to tie the knot - They both decided that while there were so many places they loved and would re-visit in the US, Maine truly held a piece of their heart! Coastal - National Park - Beautiful Scenery - Cool Air - What's not to love! So it was decided and off to Maine they went!
