FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emmaline Irvine and Seth Dotson
We hope that this will help to answer some of your questions that you may have about the celebration!
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

April 10, 2026

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is aloha semi-formal. We love an opportunity to get dressed up and we can't wait to see everyone looking their best! Some hints about semi-formal attire: more polished than everyday wear; button-up and collared shirts (aloha shirts encouraged!), cocktail dresses, pantsuits, and dress pants are some ideas for your inspiration. We love color and if you know Em, she loves some sparkle and shine! The ceremony will be on sand, so we suggest choosing your shoes accordingly. Feel free to join the bride, groom, and wedding party in slipping your shoes off for the ceremony! We suggest your finest pair of dancing shoes (or slippers) for the reception!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to guest limits set by our venue in Hawaiʻi, we must limit the guest count to those who have been invited. If a plus-one was listed on your invitation, we look forward to their presence! Dates are welcome at the Oregon and Kentucky receptions!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is ample, free parking available at the Hawai'i Polo Club for the ceremony and reception. We encourage all of our guests to carpool or utilize ride share services if you plan to drink during the celebration! We love you all and value your safety and wellbeing.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love all of the children in our lives, but we want to provide an opportunity for parents to have a night to enjoy themselves. Childcare will not be provided during the wedding, though there are many providers in the Honolulu area.

Question

How can I RSVP?

Answer

We have set up our wedding website to allow you to RSVP online! We hope that you will find this convenient and easy to navigate.

Question

Where is the registry?

Answer

We are registered through Zola, and the link can be accessed on this website. We appreciate your consideration and kindness as we set up our life together! Mahalo nui and thank you for your generosity!

Question

Can I come to the Oregon wedding reception?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! We would be delighted to have you. Please let us know so that we can expect you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:00 PM, so please arrive with enough time to park and get settled. The ceremony location is a short walk from the parking lot (about 10-12 minutes), so please plan accordingly!

Question

Is my family invited?

Answer

Due to guest limits set by our venue in Hawai'i, we must limit the guests to just those listed on your invitation.

Question

I've been invited to the Oregon reception, what can I expect?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you! Thank you for joining us! Elisa and Bob Irvine are hosting a reception to celebrate Emmaline and Seth's wedding in Oregon, as Hawai'i is a long way to travel and we hoped to bring the party to Oregon. The reception will be held at the Bracher Barn (80238 Vansycle Road, Helix, OR) on July 18, 2026 at 4:00 PM. Please RSVP via this website, and we hope to see you there! Emmaline and Seth are registered with Zola, accessible via this website. Thank you for your generosity!
