November 21, 2021 I had just gone through a breakup and decided to give online dating a try. Not long after, Alex slid into my DMs and asked me out on a date. We met for dinner at Bridgeport and saw a Marvel movie afterwards. I wasn't expecting much from my first (and thankfully last) Tinder date, but I remember feeling so comfortable and at peace when I met him. Alex claims he knew right then that I was going to be his wife one day. A few dates later, at the top of Pittock Mansion with roses in hand, he asked me to be his girlfriend. Everything seemed to move quickly but we both knew it felt right. For the past four years we have taken turns driving the 45 minutes back and forth between Newberg and Happy Valley to see each other. We always dread saying goodbye. December 15, 2024 Alex decided he didn't want to say goodbye anymore. He drove me up to a viewpoint in Newberg and popped the question in a beautiful, foggy forest. It was pouring down rain and I may have asked too many questions that ruined the surprise, but it's a day that we'll never forget. Currently we are navigating the craziness of wedding planning and house shopping but we are so excited for this next chapter of the rest of our lives together!
