We met through mutual friends. He grew up with our friend Katie, and I had met Katie and her now-husband, Rylee, a couple of years earlier in college. One random Sunday, they invited us both to lunch — which somehow turned into five hours of talking, laughing, and getting to know each other. By the time we said goodbye that night, we had already found each other on social media. We didn’t talk much after that at first, until about a month later when we all met up for lunch again. A few weeks after that, we randomly started talking… and from that point on, we pretty much never stopped.
