Before we met each of us had decided to take part in a church small group called Rooted. At first we didn't even notice each other. Given the course was ten weeks long it only took us six to even talk to one another. Our group decided how we wanted to serve our community. To each of our amazment through small conversations about our interests and passions we realized we didn't want the conversation to end. After our serve our group wanted to go out to eat. We carpooled to Korean BBQ and resparked the conversation on the drive. When we got to the restaurant we ended up separated from one another and both of us felt disappointed our conversation came to a halt. In the end, we exchanged numbers and wanted to see each other as soon as possible. The next day we spent a whole thirteen and a half hours together: we went to the gym, we went to eat food, we went to church and yet again we went out to eat. As we talked throughout the week we eventually had dinner together. That night Nathan asked me to go on a real date with him on April 20th. (I said yes) Then on the 20th we woke at 6:30am and started texting, he got to the house at 9:30, and we hung out until mindnight. After basically spending 17 hours together and accidentally saying "I love you" to each other on the very first date, it was obvious that we were meant for each other. We became each others best friends and nearly inseperable. From the beginning we both knew we wanted someone who love the Lord above anything else and it turns out the Lord gave us each other.
