Matron of Honor
GB has been an amazing older sister and role model, she brings positive energy into every room, turning strangers into fast friends everywhere she goes. Growing up in a household filled with music, some of my best memories were dancing, twirling and singing together with her while our father played the fiddle. I am so happy we were able to have a sister trip to France and Portugal. It was a spur of the moment trip that ended up being adventurous and perfect. Can't wait to dance with her at the wedding!
Best Man
Jamie's brother from another mother! Although Jamie never had a brother growing up and missed out on the hilarious mischief they can bring, Blanton easily made up for it in spades once he married Jamie's sister Annie. When Blanton isn't playing pranks on those he loves, he's cooking up a mouthwatering feast, practicing lacrosse with his three beautiful children, or crying over the state of the Carolina Panthers. To have Blanton as a role model for what a father should be is priceless and Jamie is proud to be his brother-in-law!
Bridesmaid
Sarah is my cousin that I lived with for two years after nursing school. We would share breakfast together before I went to bed for the day and she went to work. We share the love of pool time, laying out in the sun, beach time, smoothies, shopping, and cozying up on the couch and watching fun shows together. I have always been impressed with Sarah's ability to decorate her home for every season and holiday! I hope I can bring some of those decorating techniques into my future home with Jamie:)
Groomsman
Steve "T-bone" Thomas and Jamie became fast friends in their first days at Westminster, soon becoming close friends forged from the O-line gridiron, "working" for the Atlanta Olympics, and sharing laughs and music while riding in the legendary '78 Landcruiser. Jamie's glad to have T-bone back in the ATL to catch a Bravos game together, host a pig roast, but most importantly to be by his side to share this special occasion.
Bridesmaid
My cousin Handley and I grew up together in the Atlanta area. I have strong memories of us playing in her front yard on her swing. We loved doing inventory for our Granny's home clothes shop and modeling around the house together. We have the funniest memory winding through the streets of New York City all dressed up for a play laughing tears with our Granny in a Pedicab. I always love spending time with Handley and one of my last fun memories was meeting up with her on a rooftop bar in LA for a fun drink! Handley's laugh is contagious like my Granny's and I can't wait to laugh with her at the wedding!
Groomsman
Despite his formidable presence due to his height, Wally has a contagious kindness and dry wit that endears him to all. Whether on the Westminster football field, Wally's house playing Scotland Yard, or at Vanderbilt jamming along with Robert Earl Keen, Jr., Jamie and Wally have shared some amazing memories together. In a time where it's easy to lose touch with friends, Wally has always made it a point to check-in and catch up whenever possible and so it's special to have WC by Jamie's side as a part of this milestone.
Bridesmaid
I have always been impressed with my cousin Nora's strong and calm demeanor through all the different avenues of life. She is a mother of three and I was so lucky to be apart of getting her twin girls ready to go home from the hospital in Augusta. Nora and I have grown up together at all of our family events and enjoyed spending time together along with all of the Daniel ladies on our Daniel Girl reunions with themes like cooking, vision boards and even knitting:) I hope I can be a strong and calm mother to my little one coming this year like Nora!
Groomsman
Before gracing billboards as a Cardiologist, Teddy was the right-side yin to Jamie's yang as an O-Line guard. After high school, when Teddy wasn't gracing Jamie's mom Louise with free Piece of Cake mistake cakes, they'd hang out and catch up at concerts throughout the years. Whether it was NOLA Jazz Fest or West Coast Phish shows, they still see each other regularly, if, for nothing else, than to see if Teddy has had any more children since last they met!
Bridesmaid
I will never forget meeting the then Gini Baker as a four year old when she moved in across the street from my parents. Our shy first encounter turned into a lifelong friendship. We have shared so many sports, friends, rooftop chats, neighborhood memories, high school beach trips, roommates in Germany together with the band/drill team, my first college night out as a high schooler at Gini's college in Suwannee, Decatur girl reunions and more. We loved baking brownies together and just talking about life in general over the years. Gini is the kindest person I know and I will always love this sweet lady!
Groomsman
Rounding out the last of the Westminster Football groomsmen is B-mo. After the glory days of playing in the Georgia Dome for State Semi-finals, Brian headed to West Point for a more structured college experience, but also visited Jamie in the Berkshires to see how the other half lived. Turns out Army obstacle course skills can be useful for gaining access to college parties too! Brian stays busy coaching kids in every sport imaginable but always finds time to meet and catch up. Perhaps he can find time for another game of night golf too!
Bridesmaid
Madeline Edwards has been a special friend of mine since Girl Scouts! We love laughing, singing and dancing together. We shared the love of volleyball in high school and always had the same guy crushes growing up. She has always helped me improve my style of clothing choices. I have special memories spending time on her family lake house with her and getting our first bikinis together. After college Maddie took off to Philly to work as a designer for Anthropologie and her designing career in the big northern cities took off! She moved to Brooklyn and I always enjoyed crashing with her on my NYC layovers and eating Thai food in her adorable NY apartment. I'm so excited she has moved back to Atlanta and we can spend more time together! Can't wait to dance with this lady at the wedding too!
Groomsman
Geoff with a G is one of Jamie's best friends from his time at Williams College and they made literal waves on the swim team, winning multiple New England Championships and bringing smiles, shenanigans, and homemade hot tubs to the cold New England winters and to Williams College Security. Taking their friendship international while they were both working in Japan for a period, they shared experiences of volcano town elementary recess, big city scavenger hunts, and powdery slopes with a laughably small Godzilla. Jamie's happy to coax Geoff out of NYC to be by his side on the big day!
Bridesmaid
Myra and I became friends on the soccer field at Decatur High. Myra has always been a free bird that hates cell phones. We grew up with a strong group of friends at Decatur and she has always been such a committed friend even when we couldn't find her or get in touch with her. People have always loved Myras smile and love for people and lack of interest in mainstream clothing or hairstyles. Myra has been such an amazing friend especially when I moved back to Atlanta after travel nursing. She is always coming over for walks, tea time and sometimes brings me flowers or plants. She always knows how to put a smile on your face or how to cheer you up when things seem impossible or crazy in life. I just hope she shows up as a bridesmaid on my wedding day!;)
Groomsman
Jamie and Bret crossed paths in the mystical land of Saijo, Japan and once they did, it was like they'd known each other forever. That's the thing about Bret, he's one of those rare people who relishes life by embracing the connectedness of it all. The peacefulness of sitting beneath a majestic tree, the shared laughter and tears of friends swapping life stories, or the camaraderie and ecstatic joy sparked by a spontaneous dance party breaking out in a small-town Japanese pub. He has a Tom Bombadil-like quality where time together seems to stand still and you'd be forgiven for wondering if he isn't some mystical earthly force personified, but at the end of the day you're just honored to count him as a special friend.
Bridesmaid
Moira joined our group of friends in high school in a creative way. I remember she would sit at a different table and then part way through the meal she would bring her apple to eat at our table while she chatted with us. Moira and I have grown to having very deep conversations about life together over a glass of wine. Not only do we share the same group of friends, but we share love of travel and trying unique restaurants. We enjoyed a fun trip to Miami and stayed in a beachfront condo on South beach and loved bouncing around to cuban restaurants and fun cocktail spots. Can't wait to see her dance fingers on the dance floor:)
Groomsman
Nick, who takes the honor of Farthest Traveled, is coming from his hometown of Christchurch, New Zealand, one of Jamie's favorite countries. Another Saijo, Japan connection, they bonded quickly over educational learning theory, Japanese festivals, and snowboarding. Whether having up-close encounters with seals at pups at waterfalls, bombing down waist-deep Hokkaido powder runs, or waiting all day for a no-show of Blue Impulse, the Japan version of the Blue Angels, Nick and Jamie rarely say no to an adventurous opportunity together! Fittingly, Nick will be by his side as Jamie embarks on his biggest adventure yet!
Bridesmaid
Stacie and I became friends in Algebra at University of Kentucky. I was thrilled when she invited me to her home in Naples, Florida for spring break. Stacie has blown me away with her strength and perseverance in life. She worked a full time job through college, blew past barriers in life and worked her way up to running marathons! She has always inspired me and has reminded me not to stress over the small things. She has always been my friend that I call with the big intense life moments knowing she will make it seem like a piece of cake. We can go years without seeing each other and it feels like yesterday when we get together. So very excited she is able to come down for the big day because it's been another good stretch of time since we have seen each other!
Groomsman
Family is an extremely important part of Jamie and Emma's relationship, so having Sam at the front as a groomsman on Jamie's side as they become brothers is perfect. Sam has been so welcoming and friendly from the get-go, taking it easy on Jamie in billiards when they first met and allowing him some much needed pool access on hot summer days! It's been wonderful coming to know and respect him in-between Braves double-headers, birthday barbecues, and packed Irish pubs where anything can happen! Jamie is excited to gain another brother to share the burden of the emotional rollercoaster of being an Atlanta sports fan and to celebrate the union of two families as Emma and Jamie begin their own.

Miriam is a big part of the reason I am a nurse today. We motivated each other through every step of the way. We lived in the little town of Americus, Georgia and for two years studied for countless hours over the content of the daunting classes at Georgia Southwestern State University. I have memories of late night pizza orders from Dominos, picturing Miriam passed out on the couch with massive text books lying on her, tears before and after tests, and piles and piles of index cards. We made the best of things by cooking together at our apartments, trying the yummy family owned restaurants downtown, dressing up for halloween, going out occasionally to the Mexican restaurant, the Windor Hotel, Pats, or the seafood joint. Miriam invited me into her family with open arms in Perry, GA. I have enjoyed spending time with her three sisters and her parents over the years and even made it to their family home in Cavillo, Mexico for her sister's Quinceanera. Miriam and I motivated each other to do Travel nursing and we both took off on different traveling paths and bonded over the experience. So happy she will be up there with me in the gardens on March 30th!
