We met in the summer of 2024 when we were both serving on a mission in Gatlinburg for nine weeks. We were both involved in a Christian ministry on our own separate campuses: Emma at Ball State and Jordan at James Madison. Emma was interested first, but Jordan did not quite have his eyes on Emma yet. After a month of being just friends, the Lord opened some doors for them to deepen their friendship, which resulted in having late-night talks until 4 am. During that time, Jordan grew interested in Emma and eventually asked her on a date during the last full week of the summer mission. On our first date, we got lunch, went mini-golfing, and rode a mountain coaster. Emma and Jordan then started dating a couple of weeks after returning to their own states, Indiana and Virginia.
Emma is moving out to Virginia, to the town that Jordan is from. There, we are both going to be working for the Christian campus ministry, Cru, that we met through and were involved in. The campus is James Madison University, and we are so excited to share the gospel with those who do not know Jesus and empower others through Christ. Jordan still has one semester of school until he graduates, and Emma plans on getting into sourdough and milling all her own flour so she can make the best bread on the planet!
