FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emma Youngblood and Daniel Webster
If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding dress code is cocktail attire. Think semi-formal: suits or jackets with a tie for men, and dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates for women. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so we recommend comfortable shoes and layers for the evening breeze.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Due to the outdoor setting, late arrivals may be disruptive, so we kindly ask that guests arrive by 4:15 PM to allow ample time for parking and seating.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we are planning a child-free celebration with the exception of Juliana and immediate family. We kindly ask that only those children specifically included on the invitation attend. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What is the schedule for the afternoon and evening?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM, followed by a cocktail hour at 5:00 PM. Dinner and dancing will continue through the evening, with the celebration wrapping up at 9:00 PM. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

Please follow the directional signage for parking so as not to disrupt the ceremony location.

Question

Where and what is Old Wide Awake?

Answer

Old Wide Awake Plantation is located at 5149 Trexler Avenue, Hollywood SC 29405. Originally established in the early 1800s on a bluff overlooking the Stono River, Old Wide Awake began life as a 24-hour general store serving passengers of the nearby Stono Ferry. In 1974, William Jarvis purchased the property as a family retreat, but when later owners planned to demolish the house, two of his sons bought it for $1 and orchestrated its relocation to preserve the historic structure on the original Jarvis land. Since being moved a few hundred yards inland in the early 1990s, the home has undergone thoughtful restorations and additions and has served as a wedding and events venue infused with Southern charm and historical character.
