Our story began in the summer, as we entered our senior year of high school. Despite a nightmare of a first date at a Tacoma Rainiers game, we enjoyed each other's company and continued seeing one another for the rest of the summer. We made our relationship official on August 21, 2017 (hence our wedding date) and entered our senior year, participating in all the school dances and festivities together. After graduation, we made the bold decision to keep the relationship going, even though Emma was going to UND in Grand Forks, ND, and Zach was in Port Angeles, WA, for college. We both held on tight to the relationship, knowing we had something special. Emma changed career paths and moved back to WA in 2019, and one year later, the distance between us shrank as Zach moved back home to Gig Harbor after finishing college. No longer confined to phone calls and FaceTime, Emma and Zach were able to spend almost every evening together. Now, eight years later, with steady careers in nursing and ironworking and a love for one another, Zach and Emma are ready to make the ultimate commitment of marriage. We’re so excited for you to join and support us on our big day and be part of our story on our wedding day and beyond.
