Things To Do
Ottawa will always hold a special place in our hearts. We chose to celebrate our wedding at Stonefields Estate in Carleton Place, just west of the city, because it truly feels like home. If you have time during your visit, downtown Ottawa is only a short drive away (no Toronto traffic!) and full of beautiful sights, charming shops, and great restaurants to explore.
Rideau Canal

Enjoy a walk or bike ride along the Rideau Canal- a place that holds many special memories for us.
Gatineau Park

If you have a car, we highly recommend a hike through Gatineau Park, just across the river from Parliament! The nearby town of Chelsea is an adorable spot for lunch or a post-hike coffee.

Elgin Street Diner

If you know Wilson, you know he loves a true diner. The Elgin Street Diner has seen us at both 10 AM and 2 AM. If you’re in need of some pre-wedding or post-celebration grease, this is the place to go. Oh — and apparently, it’s had the same staff for a million years (according to Jeff Bennett).
