Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We ask that our guests respect our decision to not have children at our wedding. Most of all we want Mums and Dads to be able to let their hair down and have a good time. Secondly the venue takes place on a large, unsecured riverfront that is not fenced - we want to host a safe and enjoyable event and take the safety of our little loved ones very seriously.

Question

When should I travel out?

Answer

You should leave at least 6 hours travel time to travel from Brisbane Google maps will give you an accurate estimate from your home but make sure to factor in timing for stops! The ceremony will commence at 3pm meaning most will be able to travel on the day. For those coming from further afield, partial travel the day before is possible to locations such as Toowoomba (4 hours from St George), Dalby (3 hours away), Goondiwindi (2 hours away) or Roma (2 hours away). We strongly recommend NOT TRAVELLING the last two hours from Moonie to Saint George at dusk or dawn as the kangaroos pose a significant threat to drivers, and the sun sets in the direction of travel further decreasing your visibility We ask that our guests respect our decision to not entertain at the house/club Mud on Friday and please do not come to the venue as we will be busy setting up! But please do all join us for the full day Sunday for a recovery

Question

Can I bring pets?

Answer

Pets such as dogs may come at the owners discretion and must be restrained throughout the ceremony and reception. Please note we cannot guarantee the safety of your dog and rural environments carry risks of poisoning with agricultural poisons or rat bait which we cannot guarantee wont be present at the venue or closely surrounding sheds. We would be devastated should something untoward occur to a guest's pet so please consider this before bringing them along.

Question

What's the deal with recovery?

Answer

Sunday the 30th is another full day event of food, drink and special entertainment! We hope that all of our guests can join us for the entire day on Sunday and stay another night in town. Monday is a public holiday in Queensland, and given the distance you have all traveled to attend our wedding, we wanted to cater a second day of fun filled activities for you all to make your trip worthwhile. The recovery will be a casual event where we can all kick back and spin some stories from the night before. It is themed so keep a close eye for further details, and get those costumes ready!
