Not many love stories start when you're 15, and even fewer start in geometry class. What began with Emma bribing Vince to study with homemade sugar cookies led to frequent after school hangouts and eventually they admitted they had a "thing," though they refused to admit they were dating. Vince tutored Emma through macroeconomics, and Emma took notes for Vince when he had to miss school for varsity golf tournaments. It was clear from the start these two made the perfect pair. Vince asked Emma to be his girlfriend the summer before their senior year, and it was finally official! Who knew a geometry class could spark so much chemistry?!

Going to college across the country from each other meant Emma and Vince got really good at communicating, and at collecting Southwest points. But after two and a half years of commuting between Whitewater and ASU, Emma and Vince decided to spend a semester together in Italy! After college, Emma decided she wasn't done with school, so Vince begrudgingly followed her to Minnesota. With lockdown came their first dog, Remi, and after moving back to Milwaukee they added their second dog, Ruby, to the family. Through long distance, studying abroad, many moves, and becoming "pawrents" to two high energy golden retrievers, Emma and Vince have had no shortage of adventures.

Emma was adamant she didn't want to get married in law school, but life was so busy after she graduated that the last thing on her mind was a proposal. Which is exactly why Vince was able to set up the perfect surprise proposal in Hawaii (complete with a hidden photographer) on a secluded beach at sunrise. After Facetiming their parents they enjoyed an oceanside breakfast, followed by a day of hiking and beach hopping.
