Well, Tristen and I met in a very non-typical way! When he was going into his senior year of high school and I was going into my junior year, both of our families took a summer vacation to Branson each going to the local water park on August 1st. Neither of us were looking to date or checking out prospects, but (mostly due to his brother Logan's extroverted personality) our tubes bumped into each other on the lazy river - and we have pretty much been side by side ever since. Why he ever looked at me, smeared mascara, soaking wet hair, sweating in the summer heat and decided "yep, that's the one" I will never know. But when considering all the factors that played into our chance meeting, not to mention the small likelihood of us living only 45 mins away from each other, it is easy to see that God had a hand in our meeting. Later Tristen told me that he was not even going to come that weekend but decided last minute that he could take off work at sonic and go. I don't know maybe he had a feeling it would change his life. Also, if you know Tristen you know he is not a man of many words, so the fact he chose to leave the pack and actually talk to strangers was a feat with in itself. I thank God every day for putting this man in my life, when even the current of the lazy river could have deterred our meeting, He put all the puzzle pieces together and every factor into play that allowed us to meet.
