park party by the portneuf
We reserved a park pavilion in the middle of town right near the Portneuf River for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Everyone is invited to use this as home base for the weekend, since it's right by town and the river! You can walk to all of these activities from the park.

Bring the family to the pool! A Southeast Idaho summer favorite, this place has diving platforms, slides, and plenty of room to swim and tan.

Portneuf River
The Portneuf River flows right through the heart of Lava Hot Springs. You can rent tubes from local vendors and take a run down the river (it's a fun activity, but should be done with caution. We always suggest life jackets and helmets, especially for the kiddos).

Downtown Lava Hot Springs has fun stores, ice cream shops, delicious restaurants, and rowdy bars for you to explore.
