This is on East State Street next to the Holiday Inn Express (where we've booked a room block). $6 for kids, $8 for adults. Water slides, lap swim area, splash pad.
There are nice hikes here in the woods and it is also in walking distance of the hotel and venue!
We like to come here for the kayak and canoe rentals. There's also a small beach and hiking around the lake. About a ten minute drive outside of town.
The best spot around for a biscuit breakfast sandwich or fried chicken. Surprisingly good fish sandwich.
Hippie Mexican food. Great chimichangas, enchiladas, breakfast, margaritas, and brownie sundaes.
Emma's favorite place for a hotdog in the whole world. Also a burlesque hotdog museum. Great cheese fries; we like them with garlic but only if you're into having garlic breath for at least 24 hours. They also have a takeout window open late!
Voted Ohio's best coffee shop. Great cappuccino and lots of space to hangout, work, and play board games. No food other than pastries.
Good ice cream and 99 cent weekend specials. They make a peanut cluster (ice cream, hot fudge, spanish peanuts, whipped cream) that Emma's maid of honor describes as "a perfect food."
Best burger in Athens and freshly brewed beer. If you sit outside sometimes freight trains go by.
Hosting Quilt National this Summer! Lots of prized art quilts on display. The site is the old dairy barn for the Athens Asylum campus.
Farm-to-table options, sandwiches, brewery menu and great beer.
