We're getting married!

It all began on May 21, 2024, when fate (an airport pickup) brought us together. I was picking up my cousin, Sam, and his best friend, Spencer, who had just graduated from his military AIT training in Virginia. Little did I know, I was about to meet the love of my life. The first thing I noticed about Spencer? His voice—I liked it right away. The first thing he noticed about me? He thought, “Who is this smokin’ hot gal picking me up?” Because Spencer and Sam were best friends, we spent a lot of time together, naturally getting to know each other. The more we hung out, the more we clicked. What started as a friendship quickly grew into something more. Before we knew it, we were spending time one-on-one, becoming more comfortable with each other, and realizing there was something special between us. On June 3, 2024, we officially started dating. At first, I told Spencer that we should wait a month before saying, “I love you” because I didn’t want things to move too fast. But the truth was, everything felt so natural that after just a week, we both wanted to say it. We stayed strong and waited, but our hearts already knew. That summer was filled with unforgettable memories—Boondocks adventures, watching the sunset, truck pulls, camping, swimming, and even just window shopping. We also welcomed two adorable kittens into our little world on July 24—Ophie and Katie, our tiny, mischievous fur babies. As summer faded, so did our fear of what came next. In September, I left for school at BYU-Idaho in Rexburg. We were heartbroken at the thought of being apart, unsure of how things would unfold. But love has a way of finding a way. We made it work—weekend visits, road trips, and stolen moments whenever we could. No matter the distance, our love only grew stronger. Then came December 11, 2024—the day that changed everything. I was moving back to Utah, excited to finally be close to Spencer again. But when I walked into my place, I was met with rose petals, glowing candles, and a slideshow of our memories playing on the TV.
