Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal or Dressy Casual: Women can wear below-the-knee dresses, slip dresses, a dressy skirt and top, or an elegant pantsuit (styled with heels, nice wedges, or formal flats). As for men, settle on a dress shirt and slacks, with the option to wear a tie.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend looking at AirBNBs and VRBOs on the lake, there are some really cool ones! In the RSVP, we will ask who wants to room with who, and Sean and I will groups coordinate lodging. If you want to lodge at your own AirBNB, there are plenty of smaller ones too :)

Why did I only receive an invitation to the reception?

Answer

Sean and I want to have a small, intimate ceremony with our closest friends and family. The ceremony space can't hold as many people as we'd like to invite, so we'd love to have everyone at our reception at Glen Choga Lodge! Additionally, we'd love for you to stay the weekend and get to spend time with you!

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typically, day time highs in the low 70s, and average evening temps in the 40s, then dropping into the 30s in the early hours of the morning. The autumn colors here will be amazing at this time.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We plan to have a whole week of fun surrounding the wedding! You can stay for as little as long as you like, but we will be doing many of the activities on the Things To Do page.

Is there transportation to and from lodging to the reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be a shuttle. Check out the Travel tag for more info.

What is the Wayah Bald event?

Answer

We will be going to Wayah Bald for photos and great views after the ceremony around 2:30 PM. Everyone is welcome and we would love to have you.
