We recommend booking ferry reservations. BC Ferries can be busy in the Summer. On the TRAVEL page, you will find some information as well as a link to BC Ferries.
On the TRAVEL page, you will see some suggestions of hotels in Gibsons near the venue. There are also Airbnb properties on the Sunshine Coast. With all accommodation, we recommend booking early. With the FIFA World Cup being played in Vancouver this Summer, we don't know if there will be spill over to the Sunshine Coast - Best to book early!
The ceremony and the reception both have free parking. Do note, the ceremony has some no parking zones at the beach so make sure to read the signs. The reception is a short 8 minute drive from the ceremony and you can park your car at the venue over night. We are looking into transportation options for our guests at the end of the night.
We are looking at transportation options after the reception so our guest's have a safe ride home. While we don't have details at the moment, we will share more information as we know more. At this time, there will not be transportation between the ceremony and the reception. However, the ceremony location that we have in mind is a short 7 to 10 minute drive to the reception.
After the ceremony, we will be taking photos! We would love to capture some special shots with our guests to remember the day.
Think “elevated but not black tie.” Please no jeans or leggings. The ceremony will likely be on a rocky beach or grass, so consider shoes that can handle a little nature. The reception is indoors, so if you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear your dressy heels, this is your moment.
We have decided to keep our guest list small, and celebrate our special day with our family and closest friends. If you wish to bring a plus 1 who is not currently invited, please contact Emma or Scott.
Wouldn't we like to know! With an end of June wedding, we have our fingers crossed that the weather will be good. The reception is inside, but we are working on a plan B if it rains during the ceremony.
If you need to note anything regarding dietary, you will be able to do so when you RSVP. If you forget or something changes before the ceremony, please contact Emma or Scott. Do note, we have to share dietary with the venue a week prior to the wedding.
Currently there is not, but this is a live website and will get updated when needed. Any cash gifts will go towards drinking wine in Europe during our honeymoon. However, we appreciate all of our guests travelling to celebrate with us so a gift isn't necessary.
You will see on the SCHEDULE page that the ceremony is expected to start at 230pm. If you are traveling to Gibsons on the day of the wedding, please plan accordingly. We recommend making ferry reservations so you are note delayed. If you plan to arrive the day of the wedding, you may not be able to check into the hotel upon arrival. Please connect with your hotel if you require early check in.
We only know of one child who is invited. So, if you have a secret child that we are not aware of and you would like them to attend, please tell Emma or Scott.
