The Future Williams

Emma had taken a semester off before starting at the University of South Florida. During that time, she was visiting a friend and was trying to get acquainted with the campus prior to starting in the spring. Her friend said that Emma "HAD to meet this boy" (spoiler alert: it was Sam) and that he was coming to her dorm that night with some of his fraternity brothers. When Sam walked in that door it was truly love at first sight. Emma texted Briley immediately saying "Mark my words, I am going to date this boy". That night, you would have thought there was no one else in the room. After their initial first encounter, Sam asked Emma on a date. He took her to Post Malone and the rest is history. College was full of sorority/fraternity date parties, study dates and of course, more concerts! Life together is never boring and it has been so sweet to see God moving in this relationship over the past 5 years.

Almost four years after their first encounter, Sam took Emma on a belated birthday trip down to the Florida Keys. It was Sam's first time in the Keys and Emma could not wait to show him all of her favorite spots, being the planner that she is. On their first night there, Sam told Emma to get ready for a birthday dinner at a Steakhouse in Marathon, FL. Knowing that Emma would be fashionably late, he told her the time to get ready was an hour before they actually needed to leave. She was still cutting it close but they made it out the door nonetheless. Before going to dinner, Sam made a pitstop at probably the only beach in Marathon. They went for a sunset stroll and Emma asked a lady to take their picture, much to her surprise, this random lady ended up being the photographer that Sam had hired. She snapped a few photos of the couple and Sam got down on one knee. They both blacked out and cannot remember what either of them said besides "YES!". The proposal was followed by pictures, sappy Facetime calls and great key lime pie. They had the whole weekend after that to soak in being fiancees. Emma likes to think she knew it all along... but that's a story for another time.
