Things To Do

There is so much to do in this area! Here are some of our suggestions, but we're sure there's much more out there.
Tanglewood

Tanglewood

297 West Street, Lenox, MA 01240

Just down the road, Tanglewood is the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and is a beautiful place to see some music. You can buy tickets for the Shed, or just get tickets for the lawn and take a picnic. They release their schedules and tickets around January.

MASS MoCA

MASS MoCA

1040 Mass MoCA Way, North Adams, MA 01247

Further afield (45 min drive), but our favourite museum in the State. It's a HUGE contemporary art museum (biggest in the US!) in an old electric factory and well worth a visit if you have time.

The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home

The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home

2 Plunkett Street, Lenox, MA 01240

A beautiful old home and garden. Free to go and walk around the property which has trails, sculptures, formal gardens, and a beaver pond.

Clark Art Institute

Clark Art Institute

225 South Street, Williamstown, MA 01267

Also a 45 min drive away, for those who prefer a more classical collection. It has beautiful grounds that are free to walk around.

High Lawn Farm

High Lawn Farm

535 Summer Street, Lee, MA 01238

Really good ice cream. And cheese. And butter.

Shakespeare & Company

70 Kemble Street, Lenox, MA 01240

Steps from the venue is this theatre company that does more than just Shakespeare. A great place to watch a show!

Jacob's Pillow

358 George Carter Road, Becket, MA 01223

If you want to see an amazing dance performance, this is the place for you. We recently saw a ballet Bowie tribute here. They do great stuff.

For all the days along the way
