Emma & Ryan met like most couples nowadays...the classic dating app back in 2020. Although both were juggling busy schedules while navigating nursing school they mutually agreed to go their separate ways. Flash forward to 1 year later Ryan had graduated, beginning his career as an RN at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. Emma was enduring her senior year of nursing school. It just so happened she was placed on the same unit Ryan worked for her pediatric clinical rotation. To this day Ryan will say it was his Spider-Man scrubs that won Emma over. But if you ask her she would say it was due to the simple fact that he took the effort to say hello within 5 minutes of her walking on the floor. After a few months Ryan asked Emma to be his girlfriend while ice skating downtown Cincinnati (don't worry we eventually got to ice skate in Central Park NYC a few years later). The first weekend of May 2024 Ryan surprised Emma with a trip to Holland Michigan during their tulip festival. Yes, quite literally surprised! She had no idea where they were going until pulling into the hotel parking lot. They spent the weekend by the lake (while it rained), playing pickleball (of course), tandem biking (10/10 would recommend doing with someone right before getting engaged), and most importantly looking at all the beautiful tulips that bloomed throughout the small town. The morning of their last day Ryan took a detour before their "nice brunch reservations" to see one last tulip field that they have missed. To Emma's surprise she found Ryan down on one knee asking to marry him. It was a very easy yes! As the saying goes, if you love something let it go and if it is meant to be it will always find a way back.
