Unfortunately, it might. When we booked our venue, we didn't know there was a home game and homecoming the same weekend! This is why our hotel block is in Plymouth, MI. Hotel rooms in Ann Arbor are limited. Visit our Travel page for more info. We would also recommend looking on AirBnb and VRBO for other options and scheduling your rides.
We invite you to wear formal attire or cocktail attire. There is no need to walk on grass at the venue. The wedding party will be wearing lavender. Make sure that whatever you wear, you feel classy, comfortable. . . and ready to dance all night!
Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place outdoors at the ceremony site. Cocktail hour is also slated to take place on their outdoor patio. The reception will be held indoors with access all night to the patio and outdoor spaces. We suggest bringing a coat for the late night as temperatures can drop!
October in this region of Michigan has been absolutely beautiful the past few years, but is very unpredictable! It’s looking like it might be a chilly fall this year, so we recommend bringing an extra layer for the later evening.
We have included a "Social Hour" from 2:30 - 3:30 PM to help with travel uncertainties due to the football game. You can arrive anytime in this window and visit the restaurant for a drink, select your seat at the ceremony site, or just socialize with other guests!
The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM, so we ask that you are seated at least 5 minutes before that so there is calm when we start.
You will want to fly into Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW), which is about 45 minutes away from Ann Arbor.
You may park anywhere at the golf course's main parking lot. You may leave your car overnight, but it must be retrieved the next day.
The golf course will offer cart service to anyone who needs assistance reaching the ceremony site. It is a short walk, but there is a declining walkway that leads down. Please ask a Polo Fields staff member onsite for assistance if you or a member of your group needs accommodation.
