At Concordia, a group of their mutual friends met every M/W/F for breakfast after Emma's Organic Chemistry class and after Patrick's music class. They didn't know each other at the start but found that they loved talking to each other (and that Patrick was a really good listener <3). Eventually the breakfast club dwindled until it was just Emma and Patrick. Of course, it then took another year for the first date because neither would EVER make the first move...

I had told Patrick that I had to look nice if he proposed to me in public, yet when he asked me to dress up to meet him for lunch one day at the bank, I was not suspicious. I arrived at Cornerstone Bank where he was working and waited for him to be done, chatting with his co-workers. When he was ready, we walked out to the car to "go to Pizza Ranch", but he stopped me after we left the building and said that he was able to change the electronic sign outside the bank today. I turned around to see that it said "Emma, will you marry me?" and when I turned back he was on one knee. I said yes!
