Flight
The closest airport is José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), located in Rionegro—just 15–20 minutes from Llano Grande and about 45 minutes from Medellín. If you're flying through Bogotá, make sure to give yourself enough time for your connection—Colombian domestic flights are frequent but sometimes run behind schedule.
Rental Car
The easiest way to get around Llano Grande and the surrounding areas is by rental car, especially if you’re planning to explore beyond the wedding festivities. Rental cars are available at the airport and give you the most flexibility. If you’re staying in the city, getting around is super easy with Uber. It’s widely available in Medellín and also works well for shorter trips in Llano Grande, whether for a night out or a quick ride. Taxis and local drivers are another option if you’d prefer not to drive—just let us know if you’d like a contact.
Hotel
You’ve got options! Medellín and Llano Grande offer everything from boutique hotels to countryside retreats and charming Airbnbs, many with scenic views and cozy atmospheres. If you’d like a vibrant city experience, El Poblado in Medellín is full of restaurants, shops, and nightlife. It’s about 40 minutes from the venue. If prefer something quieter, Llano Grande offers peaceful surroundings just minutes from the venue—perfect for relaxing between celebrations. Instead of setting up a traditional hotel block (which often ends up more expensive), we recommend booking directly with hotels or through sites like Expedia or Booking.com to find the best rates. Transportation will be provided to and from the venue from the hotels listed below, so feel free to choose the spot that best suits your travel style!
Hotel
If you’re looking for a stylish stay right in the heart of the action, The Click Clack Hotel is a great choice. It’s modern, vibrant, and perfectly located for exploring the city. Just keep in mind that the area can be busy (and sometimes noisy), so if you’re after a quieter, more relaxing atmosphere, this may not be the best fit.
Hotel
Also located in El Poblado, this hotel offers a comfortable stay close to Medellín’s restaurants and shops while being just outside the lively Provenza area. It’s a great option if you want the convenience of the city with a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere at the end of the day.
Hotel
Located just minutes from the airport and about 15 minutes from the wedding venue, Hotel Movich Las Lomas offers a peaceful retreat in Llano Grande. Surrounded by greenery, it’s the perfect choice if you’re looking for a relaxing stay away from the bustle of the city.
Travel Note
We recommend arriving at least a day before the wedding to settle in and soak up the beautiful setting. Colombian pesos (COP) is the local currency. Most places accept cards, but it’s good to have some cash for smaller shops or tips. You can order pesos from your bank beforehand or just use the ATM at the airport when you arrive. If you're extending your trip, Medellín and the surrounding region have so much to offer—check our “Things to Do” page for ideas!
