If you asked either of them how they first met, you'd get two completely different versions. Nathan's story sets during the summer of his Junior year of high school in the small classroom of Munros' Driving School where he first met Emma (using his "rizz" with a highlighter-on-a-pen prank). They managed to pass their driving tests (Nathan with the "Man Van" and Emma with a sporty Subaru Impreza), competed on their respective Hazen swim teams, held the same class treasury position, then eventually made it official at Relay for Life where Nathan asked Emma to be his girlfriend on May 22nd, 2010. All of this did happen, but if you rewind back to their grade school years, this is where Emma actually first met Nathan. Sitting in the audience at Ms. Judy's, their piano teacher's home, during a holiday piano recital... Emma was forced to watch a duet performance featuring a young, Chinese boy rocking a middle-part bowl-cut and glasses. Never in her wildest dreams did she think that kid would be her future husband! Fast forward to their official date as a couple, they made incredible memories and life-long friendships during their college years where they both attended the University of Washington (Go Huskies!). After graduation, Nathan moved to California for his dream job, resulting in a temporary long distance situation. Luckily it was short-lived as he decided to move back to the PNW after a little over one year, and a few years later they were both ready to have a place together. Emma and Nathan have now settled into their home and most recently rescued their beloved fur baby, Bumi. This year will mark fourteen years together and they cannot wait to celebrate their union as husband and wife with their dearest friends and family. --- We want to thank you for all of your love, kindness, support and so much more that you have given us.
