We first met at Damascus High School, and have been dating since February 23rd, 2011. We've counted ourselves so lucky to have found each other so early in life, and have been together through high school, multiple jobs, moves, college, grad school, and many more milestones over the last 10 years. We are so excited to take the next step in life together and that we will soon be husband and wife!

Michael proposed on his birthday and planned an elaborate scavenger hunt, sending Emma all over Maryland to some spots that had been important in their relationship. He included a secret message in his clues, spelling out “as you wish”, a reference to Emma’s favorite movie, The Princess Bride. Emma was completely surprised and (obviously) said yes.
