Do I need to stay in one of the hotel blocks?

Answer

The short answer is no, but we would love for people to stay in the Coconut Grove area if possible. There is something extremely special about having the people we love near us as we start this new chapter, and it would be wonderful to make this entire weekend a retreat with you all :) The wedding reception itself is in Wynwood (about 20 mins from Coconut Grove), but we specifically chose this area as it is a special and dynamic part of the city that has a beautiful waterfront, parks, shopping, and is centrally located.

What is the weather like this time of year?

Answer

Florida and climate change make this a hard one to answer :) We really advise you look at the weather as we get closer to the date, but think low-mid 80s in the day and 70s in the evening.

Is there a shul near the hotel blocks (Mayfair and Mariott) in Coconut Grove?

Yes! There is the Chabad of Miami that is a 15 minute walk away from the Mayfair and 25 minute walk from the Marriott. More information here: https://www.chabadmiami.com/
