We met in the fall of 2020 for our first date at Dacha Beer Garden in DC. Even in the middle of COVID, meeting each other felt like a bright spot. With fewer distractions, we quickly grew close and spent nearly every day together. We fell fast, sharing adventures big and small, from cooking together and exploring new cities to long walks and quiet evenings at home. Traveling quickly became a favorite pastime, and together we have visited more than a dozen countries. We’ve created unforgettable memories, from camping in the Sahara Desert, trekking glaciers in Iceland, to spending quality time with family in Italy. In July 2025, on a slightly foggy afternoon in Bar Harbor, Maine, Matt popped the question. Maine holds a special place in Emma’s heart, as she spent every summers there growing up. Over time, it became a cherished spot for both of us and the perfect setting for the next chapter of our story. Emma said “yes” and literally jumped with joy. We joined Belle Haven Country Club as members, and it has become a meaningful part of our lives. From golfing and pickleball to pool days, dinners, and time spent with friends, it is a place filled with memories we love, which makes it even more special that we’ll be getting married at Belle Haven. As we celebrate nearly six years together, we are so grateful for the love and support that have surrounded us along the way. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you in the places we love, for a weekend of fun, food, dancing, and memories we will treasure forever. With love, Matt + Emma
