We started working together at Westside pizza in the summer of 2019, we had a instant bond that led to a year and a half long friendship that consisted of multiple little dates after work. We almost always chose to go get ice cream from different places in town on nights we were scheduled to close the store together, driving around town was our excuse to spend as much time with each other as possible. On one of these Ice cream dates we told each other how we really felt. From there on we spent everyday together. After years of loving each other unconditionally, we went on a weekend trip to Spokane where we stayed at the Davenport Grand hotel. We had made a reservation to this lovely restaurant down town. For lunch we didn’t want to go crazy so we got Panda Express, but when we opened our fortune cookies Matti’s plans were almost ruined. On Emma’s fortune cookie was “A tempting proposal will soon present itself” Matti’s simply read “Always do your best”. That being the sign matti was waiting for he knew that was his moment to propose and the rest was history.
