The Wedding Website of Emma Rhoades and Mac Lanphier
Hi everyone, Here are some things you should know about events around our wedding: Shuttles will depart from the front of the Renaissance hotel at 4:30, and again at 5:00, with the ceremony starting at 5:30. Welcome drinks will be served when the first shuttle arrives. If you want to arrive early, Midwest Coast Brewery is immediately next door to our venue. If you wish to drive or take a ride share, the address is 2145 w Walnut st, Chicago IL. The venue has ample parking in a gated lot for guests. The day after our wedding, there will be an informal brunch at our apartment in Wicker Park (1451 w Thomas st, unit 1, Chicago IL). Parking is limited, but we are very close to the division blue line stop. Can’t wait to see you all! -Mac & Emma
Question

Do I need to be vaccinated to come to your wedding?

Answer

Yes, vaccinated AND boosted. Our venue is requiring guests to have both proof of vaccination and a photo ID.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

February 19th, please and thank you!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Springtime semi-formal - we know it's March, and we know it's Chicago, but we really want to bring on Spring! We would love it if you would consider wearing spring colors. For men: a suit and a fun tie. For women: dressier than cocktail, but no evening gown required.

Question

How can I get to and from the venue?

Answer

We will have a shuttle leaving from the Renaissance from 4:30 to 5:00, for the ceremony starting at 5:30. The venue also has ample parking. The after party is at the brewery immediately next door to the ceremony/reception. We will not be providing any transportation from the venue, but rideshares should be easy to obtain.

Question

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

We are hosting an afterparty at midnight at Midwest Coast Brewery, which is immediately next door to the ceremony/reception venue.

Question

Can I bring children to the wedding?

Answer

We are having an adult-only event. However, we are happy to coordinate with people bringing children to arrange for sitters at a group rate. Please let us know if you are interested by February 19th.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! At Crate & Barrel, Zola, and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Please do not feel obligated to get us a gift, your presence is present enough!

Question

Is there a brunch on Sunday March 20th?

Answer

We do not have any plans the day after the wedding, we are hoping everyone is too exhausted from dancing the night before! If you do want to go out, we have some recommendations on our "Things to do" page.

Question

What is the weather like in Chicago in March?

Answer

That's a great question! We wish we knew. Err on the side of caution and bring a warm coat (there will be a free coat check at the venue). The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be indoors.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list and seating arrangements, so we cannot accommodate any last-minute additions.

Question

Will you be able to accommodate dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes! Please indicate any dietary restrictions or food allergies you may have in your RSVP, and our caterer will have a meal ready just for you!

Question

I have other questions, where can I direct them?

Answer

Please email us at macandemma22@gmail.com

Question

How will you communicate any updates or changes before the wedding?

Answer

Please make sure to include your email when filling out your RSVP, so we can contact you if our plans change. With COVID restrictions changing frequently, we want to make sure we can keep everyone up-to-date.

For all the days along the way
