His Plan, Our Story

She showed up for Bible study. He followed up on GroupMe — and God did the rest.

Emma and Logan first noticed each other at Journey on Fire events—just one day apart. Emma had recently completed the Women’s Journey and decided to attend a few of the men’s sessions to stay connected. Logan spotted her one evening, and the next night, she happened to notice him. They didn’t talk then, but somehow, it stuck with both of them. A few weeks later, they finally introduced themselves and discovered they were attending the same Bible study. Casual hellos turned into longer conversations, especially one evening when they ended up discussing how to make sense of the harder parts of Scripture. Emma recommended The Passion Translation, and after that, post-study conversations became a regular thing. Soon, they started playing pickleball together—Logan still claims he let Emma win, though she’s not convinced. Emma knew she liked him but made sure to play it cool. Logan, meanwhile, found his own excuse to see her again by inviting her to another Bible study and following up with a message on GroupMe... and a little extra reminder, just in case she’d missed it. That same week, after another round of pickleball, Logan finally asked Emma out. That’s when they both admitted what had been obvious all along—they liked each other. They also realized they’d first noticed each other at Journey on Fire, just one day apart. Their first date felt easy and right, and on November 6th, they made it official. Since then, they’ve shared a love for reading Scripture together, encouraging each other in faith, and finding joy in everyday things. They spend their time watching movies, listening to music, going on walks, and cooking—well, mostly Logan cooking for Emma, which she doesn’t mind one bit. Logan also makes sure Emma gets to the gym, whether she’s excited about it or not. On August 29th, the day after they closed on their first home, Logan proposed in the backyard—a simple, perfect start to their next chapter. Now, they’re looking forward to saying “I do” on May 30, 2026—with Jesus at the center, plenty of good food, and maybe a gym bag or two that still doesn’t get packed on time.
