First comes school, then comes marriage. Kyle and I met on the tennis team when I was in 7th grade and he was in 9th. I didn't think much of him then considering most of our interactions were him throwing food at me, specifically grapes from the tennis snack table... A few years later we reconnected in High School and had a good laugh about him throwing food. We spent most of our time going to the movies, getting ice cream, and watching Auburn football. I guess you could say the rest is history... to this day, he still throws food at me, we still go to the movies, get ice cream, and watch Auburn football.
In the midst of a long summer working in Louisville, KY, I flew home for what I thought was just a going away party for Kyle's relative. Much to my surprise, Kyle and I had to make an urgent stop en route to the party to pick up flowers. We pulled up to Nirvana Gardens when I told Kyle, "I'm not getting out. You shouldn't need help grabbing some flowers." Never in my life had I heard Kyle raise his voice at me until that day insisting, "you HAVE to help me!" Annoyed (because it was HOT and my curls were falling out), I got out. Kyle took my hand as we walked through the garden and before I knew it, we were taking a walk through memory lane as he had lined our path with pictures of us through the years. We came up to a beautiful swing with "The Sanders - Always and Forever" engraved on the back. Kyle, being as thoughtful as always, built me this swing so I would always have "my spot" no matter where we go, similar to my spot on Memi's front porch swing. Before I realized it, he was down on one knee and of course I said "YES!!" Here's to Always and Forever! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
