Our Story

It all started in August 2019, when we moved onto the same dorm floor to begin our freshman year at Vanderbilt. We met at a floor bonding event when Emma sat down next to Keith, and the conversation flowed so easily it felt like we'd known each other for far longer than just a few minutes. We talked a lot during the first couple weeks of school, but as we got busier with classes, we drifted in different directions. Still, every few months we found ourselves next to each other having late-night conversations, and each time we talked, it felt easy and familiar. By spring 2020, we were together more and more... just in time for lockdown. Even though we were 650 miles apart, we texted all the time, sometimes staying up until the early morning talking about everything and nothing. By the time we reunited to begin our sophomore year in August, it only took a couple of weeks to become official. While the world was still upside down, the foundation of our relationship was built on simple joys: binge-watching sitcoms, eating popcorn and brownies, and studying together. After college, Nashville became our backdrop for long walks at Radnor Lake, exploring new restaurants, and enjoying Keith's cooking experiments (with Emma happily providing compliments and clean-up duty). On July 18, 2025, Keith took Emma on a nostalgic date in downtown Chicago. We started at Millennium Park, which Emma first showed Keith in 2021. We reminisced on all the years we've spent together and retook some of our favorite photos from way back when. Then, Keith took Emma to a park next to Navy Pier (overlooking both the water and the Chicago skyline), where he pulled out a ring and asked Emma to marry him. She said yes, and now you're on our wedding website! Today, we're excited to start our lives together in Memphis along with our puppy, Moose. No matter where life takes us, being together has always felt like home. We can't wait for the many adventures ahead, from enjoying evening walks and homemade dinners to building a life full of laughter and love.
