Jonny and Emma have known each other since middle school, where Jonny swears his crush began. Somewhere in those years, a totally serious and slightly desperate pact was made to marry each other if we were both still single by the old age of 25. We stayed close friends through high school and thank the Lord every day we didn’t date back then. High school us would have absolutely fumbled this. After high school, life took us on different paths, but God was quietly working on both of our hearts. Though we weren’t in each other’s lives for a season, we were both falling in love with the Lord. During that time, we were each baptized at our home church only a few months apart. Eventually, we found our way back into each other’s lives. After months of rekindling, it became clear that the “just friends” thing we had going on wasn’t really working. So one spring break night in Florida, we confessed our feelings, started dating, and casually planned to get married all within the span of three days. Two years later, here we are! Living proof that God’s timing is perfect and His plans are way better than ours. God knew exactly what He was doing, and we’re just thankful we finally caught up🤍
