We met in the fall of 2019 and became friends pretty quickly. Nothing crazy, no wild love at first sight moment, we just got along really well. We made each other laugh, we were easy to talk to, and we always seemed to end up in each other’s lives no matter what was going on. For a while, we were content as just friends. And we really believed it. We saw each other through a lot, and even managed to stay connected while living three hours apart. No matter the distance, we always showed up for each other without even thinking about it. Eventually, people around us started saying things like, “you two are totally going to end up together”, and “why don’t you guys just date, you’re so similar”. We’d laugh it off and ignored them. Turns out, many people were right about that. Here is when our mutual friend (and now bridesmaid), Mary, decided to play professional meddler and cupid at the same time. With not a very subtle shove from her, we finally gave it a shot and went on our first official date in October of 2023. And honestly, it just felt natural. No games, no guessing, no drama. It was two best friends who finally figured out what everyone else already knew and started navigating the "friends to maybe more" pipeline together. Now here we are, engaged and excited for everything ahead. Our story did not start like your typical romance movie. It started like your favorite romcom with friendship, a lot of laughing, some stubbornness, a dash of denial and really good timing. And we would not change a thing.
