We’re getting married!

Our story begins in April of 2020, when we were in lockdown! Emma was attending Ohio University in Athens at the time and making silly TikToks to get through the long, boring days of not being able to do much of anything. One day, Ian just so happened to see one of the TikToks and decided to follow Emma on other social medias. When she immediately followed him back, he thought he might as well try to send her a message. Not too long after, we had our first FaceTime date and stayed on the phone talking for 7 hours! We both knew immediately after our first interaction that this was our person to spend the rest of our lives with. We connected in many different aspects; but mainly on the way we wanted to live our lives and show everyone the same kind of love God shows us. After a few weeks (which seemed like forever) we finally got to see each other in person. It was like we had known each other for years! Exactly on our one year anniversary of dating; Ian proposed at our favorite place, Malabar Farm! We now own a home just minutes away from the farm and plan on making so many new memories there, married!! We are so blessed and thankful we have all of you to share this special moment of our lives with!

When picking the venue, it was very important to both of us that we pick a place in the middle of both of our hometowns. With Ian being from Ontario and Emma being from Lancaster, Irongate falls perfectly in the middle of being one hour away from each of us! When we first visited the venue, we knew immediately this was OUR venue! We hope you fall in love with it just as much as we did.
