As Stillwater has a long and involved history (as the birthplace of Minnesota), there is no wonder why this town has such a fascination with old-timey things. This antique store has a wide selection of amazing, unique, and interesting items!
The Stillwater Lift Bridge was originally constructed in 1931, serving as a gateway between Minnesota and Wisconsin. Although it was used for vehicles for many years, it has since been turned into a pedestrian only bridge. If you are up for a hike, you can walk across the bridge and all the way around to the "new bridge" (dubbed "St. Croix Crossing). A link is provided above.
If you want a beautiful view with a place for the kids to run around (or dogs or husbands, whatever), this is a great spot. You will be overlooking the entire downtown, getting a spectacular view of the river and lift bridge. The playground is pretty fun, too.
I am adding this on here for two people specifically: Tammy and Susie. I know Susie loves this place, and I know Tammy will when she visits! For everyone else, I'm sure you'll enjoy this cute park, too! It is a really fun spot for kids to run around while you hang out in the shade and enjoy your coffee.
