There are rentals of all shapes and sizes available throughout Sun Valley and Ketchum, which provide a great option for large groups and can be more cost effective. Consider renting local through Alpine Lodging (visit www.booksunvalley.com)! We urge you to reach out to us if you're considering a rental house! Uber and Lyft do NOT exist in the area, and transportation (beyond rental cars) is finicky -- we can help make sure your spot is close to town and shuttle pickups for the weekend's events.

Getting Around Sun Valley

Uber/Lyft is EXTREMELY rare in Sun Valley. The Mountain Rides bus is free and can get you just about anywhere (before midnight), including the Sun Valley Resort, downtown Ketchum, and Elkhorn. Click the 'View' button below for the route map + schedule.

If you're keen to explore the Ketchum area, we highly recommend renting a car from your arrival airport. Be sure to reserve soon given limited inventory. There are also several taxi companies. Reservations ahead of time are highly recommended as pickup waits, availability (i.e., nighttime), and rates may vary. Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN)

SUN is the most convenient option. The Sun Valley airport is a 20-25 minute drive to Ketchum. Most hotels provide complimentary shuttles (call your hotel ahead of time to book); otherwise, you can rent a car or try to use one of the limited in-town transportation options.

Boise Airport (BOI)

The Boise airport is a 2-hour and 30-minute drive to Ketchum. If you don't want to rent a car, there is a once-daily shuttle service between Boise and Sun Valley (https://www.ctcbus.com/sun-valley-express-powered-ctc2)

Salt Lake City Airport (SLC)

The Salt Lake City airport is a 4-hour and 30-minute drive to Ketchum. The drive is much more enjoyable in the summer than the winter!
