Things To Do

We hope you love New Orleans as much as we do! If you want more specific recommendations, don't hesitate to reach out to either of us.

1000 Figs

3141 Ponce De Leon Street, New Orleans, LA 70119

Great for a quick, nutritous, delicious, and fairly priced meal located in Mid-City (or delivery). They have a small seating area for dining in, but we would also recommend taking your food to go for a picnic on Bayou St. John. That's what we did for our first date!

Ayu Bakehouse

801 Frenchmen Street, New Orleans, LA 70117

Emma's former place of work. Outstanding pastries and coffee to fuel your weekend. The line can be long on weekends so be prepared to wait or go early! Another awesome bakery a bit closer to the venue is Levee Baking Co (on Magazine Street).

Bar Pomona

2352 Saint Claude Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70117

Bar Pamona can not, not be on our recommendations list. You will likely run into a member of the bridal party, or be served by our officiant's wife-to-be.

Good Food

Turkey and the Wolf: Prepare for a post-lunch nap. Located directly next to the Schuele/Polakowski Airbnb. Bacchanal: Fine wine, live music, and build your own cheese platter. (No reservations) Peche: Seafood Mister Maos: Fusion Dat Dog: More than just a hot dog. Parkway Bakery & Tavern: Po' boys Steins Market & Deli: Bagels Molly's Rise & Shine: Brunch

Good Drinks

Hotel Saint Vincent: Cute hotel with a great bar, right by the cerremony/reception venue. Elysian Bar: Great cocktails at the Peter and Paul Hotel in the Marigny. Courtyard Brewery: It's a brewery :) Bar Tonique: If you're looking for a night cap after an evening in The Quarter. Hot Tin: Rooftop bar on the Pontchartrain hotel. Take the second elevator on the left.

Good Activities

City Park: A go-to spot in our old neighborhood. Special shoutout to the sculpture garden! Audubon Park: Right across from Tulane University, beautiful to walk through. Frenchman Street: Great place to catch live music, we prefer it to Bourbon Street. Music starts on Decatur St and stops a bit before Royal St. Magazine Street: Cute strip to walk down, shop and eat. Most of the action is between Napoleon and Washington. Bayou Paddle Sports: Hannah used to work here, say hi to Rhonda for me!
