FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one or my children?

Answer

Based on our limited space for the reception, we ask you only bring your plus ones and/or children that are listed on the RSVP page.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We request that our guests wear formal attire. Long dresses for women and suits with ties for men are encouraged. October in Arizona is typically warm (although not scorching), so lightweight fabrics are recommended. The Garden Reception will be outdoors, while the Nuptial Mass and Dinner & Dancing will be indoors. Out of respect for the sacredness of the Nuptial Mass, we kindly request that all guests observe the Church's guidelines for modest attire. Thank you for helping us preserve the reverence and beauty of this sacred celebration.

Question

What time should we arrive for the Nuptial Mass?

Answer

Please plan to arrive by 12:45 PM.

Question

Can I attend the Nuptial Mass if I am not Catholic?

Answer

Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to witness and celebrate with us as we exchange vows and enter sacramental marriage together.

Question

What are the wedding colors?

Answer

Our wedding colors are light pink, gold, black, and white.

Question

Will the reception be indoors?

Answer

The dinner and dancing portion of our reception from 5:00 PM onwards will be indoors. The garden reception from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM will be outdoors in the garden at Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Question

What food will there be for children?

Answer

Our reception will be buffet-style, serving a selection of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine handpicked by the two of us. We are confident that there will be sufficient variety for everyone to enjoy, even picky eaters.

Question

What will the Nuptial Mass entail?

Answer

Our Nuptial Mass will include our sacramental wedding ceremony contained within a full Catholic Mass. A full Mass is about an hour long, so we expect our Nuptial Mass will be about an hour and fifteen minutes long. We'll also have a program noting each step of the Mass so that you can follow along, regardless of your level of familiarity! Note that our wedding church, St. Joan of Arc, does have a cry room in the rear of the church area for restless little ones if needed.
