Maid of Honor
Alexis is my eldest sister and my rock in all things wedding planning and marriage prepping. She has been a good listener and a wonderful comfort through more than just engaged life. In our time together, we most enjoy finding excuses to go out for ice cream, even multiple times in a single day. I don't see that pastime going away any time soon. Sorry, Gabe and Chase.
Best Man
Lucas is my brother who I spent all of my childhood with. As my best man, he has been so positive and excited about planning for his little brother's wedding. The love in our relationship is so apparent. Whether it was Lucas pushing me off the top of the bunk bed or me throwing a cat on him while he was in the bathtub, our intimate bond never lacks and always sustains beyond long distances and years on end.
Bridesmaid
Catherine is the sibling just before me and so near and dear to my heart. There's always been some (usually friendly) competition between us, but we suspect that's due to how similar we are. Though we compete with one another, we've always had each others' backs, too. Catherine is my true partner in crime and true friend. Catherine and I bond over our mutual love for soccer, poetry, the world, and one another.
Groomsman
Taylor is my oldest brother. Growing up, Taylor's humor and loving character had a huge impact on me. His samsquatch scream and hilarious anecdotes brought countless smiles; however, these weren't the only smiles that Taylor got from me. Taylor also loved to share wisdom. He was the figure in my life that always told me to chase what I love doing. I admire Taylor very much and am honored for him to be in my wedding.
Bridesmaid
Claire is my very first little sister and has got to be the most spirited woman I know. It's been one of my greatest joys to grow up with someone so loving, sensitive, and fun. Claire and I spend our time together watching crafty youtubers, creating strange new dance moves, and laughing as much as possible. Clearly she's a pretty dang good friend.
Groomsman
Seth is my younger brother. Whether we are drifting through snowy backroads and parking lots or making goofy voices for our dogs, there is always an authentic laugh to be shared. I am thankful for every opportunity that I have had to spend time with Seth because his joyous and positive nature is contagious.
Bridesmaid
Ariana is my cousin and life long friend. She has always been unwavering in her affection for me. Ari exclusively called me Emma Lou for the first about 10 years of our lives. Even at 20, we spend every waking moment together when our families visit one another. And we watch the movie Grease at least once every Christmas season, a tradition I hope will never die.
Groomsman
Forrest is my older brother who is responsible for many of my quirky mannerisms. Growing up, Forrest taught me some of the basics: how to shoot guns and lift weights. While neither of these things will be present at the wedding, I know Forrest's genuine heart and humor will be.
Bridesmaid
Marg is my high school best friend. Some things I love most about Marg: she is lively, she is in love with God and nature, and she is devoted to everyone she meets. Marg is the source of many joys in my life, but I can't avoid sharing her part in where I am today: she invited me to the retreat in which I discovered my own faith and met my now fiancé, Gabe. Marg and I spend our time together in nature, in conversation, and in play with our dearest friends.
Groomsman
Merick is a bestfriend of mine. He encouraged me to go on the LOG retreat where I met the Lord and Emma. Merick and I go way back to when we were just little boys out on the soccer field. Even now, every time we catch up it feels like no time has passed. I am so thankful for such an open-minded friend like Merick.
Bridesmaid
Susan is my dear friend and first and only college roommate. She is graceful and bold and hilarious. She constantly thinks of my hopes before her own. A great discovery I made in growing in love and friendship with Susan is how bad-A she is. (She also taught me almost all of the pseudo-swears I know.) Susan and I love to spend a Friday or Saturday night curled up in a bed with some Ben & Jerry's ice cream and one of our favorite tv shows.
Groomsman
Ben is one of my life-long friends that never ceases to bring me joy. Ben has been a blessing in my life from the first moments of our soccer careers in middle school to serving in South Dakota on a mission trip. Ben has always been there with me on my adventures and supporting my spirituality above all else. I am beyond thankful to be able to call him my brother.
Bridesmaid
Though five sisters may seem like more than enough for any girl, Julia is proof that six is all that would do. We couldn't look less alike if we tried, but Julia really is the last sister God knew I needed. She is selfless and joyful and dedicated beyond belief. At the age of just fifteen, Julia agreed to let two practically-strangers (my older sister and me) come live with her, one of which would be taking the top bunk of her own bed. Bunking with Julia has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I'm forever grateful. Julia and I love to discuss not-so-deep philosophies, jump on the trampoline, and go on lunch dates whenever we can squeeze them in.
Groomsman
David is one of my favorite travel buddies. We spent time together paddleboarding in the Black Hills and rock climbing in Colorado. Even the long days cleaning cabins together never got old (especially the day when David vacuumed up a trashback in front of our boss). I love the memories I have with David and cannot wait to create more!
Bridesmaid
Emily and I fondly refer to one another as "Em". We both transferred to the same high school in the same year, something over which we quickly bonded. Emily and I endured a number of shared sufferings and shared joys in high school; she is my unwavering and firm friend. Emily and I most enjoy eating her mom's mint brownies, watching great movies and tv shows, and going on very long walks together.
Groomsman
Aric is one of my most appreciated companions from college. We suffered through engineering classes together and relaxed in hammocks under countless Hawaiian sunsets together. I always cherish our long conversations, dance sessions, and chess matches. Aric is the freest, most spontaneous spirit that I've ever met.
Bridesmaid
Ava is my little sister and true doppelgänger. (It's a huge compliment to be told time and time again how alike we look.) Ava is filled with passion for the things she cares about and believes in. She is feisty and she is loved by all. She is absolutely independent. This year Ava asked me to be her confirmation sponsor, an experience that I know has bonded us even more strongly and permanently. Aside from our mutual love for The Lord, Ava and I enjoy going on walks and runs together and watching Marvel movies to our hearts' content!
Bridesmaid
Caroline is my youngest sibling, and definitely the cutest. She has beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes, and as such stands out from the rest of the bunch. This is true of her personality, too - she is reserved and even shy at times, but completely fearless. Caroline is witty and the brain behind most of mine and my 3 younger sisters' humor. She is also kind and gentle and is constantly in pursuit of fun. Caroline and I love to jump on the trampoline, play H.O.R.S.E., and tell jokes as much as possible.
Groomsman
Chase is my soon-to-be brother. We ventured through Exodus 90 together and saw each other blossom into greater Men of God. We also ventured through a three-course crawfish boil in Louisiana so one might say that we've been through a lot together... Jokes aside, I am beyond excited to become brothers with Chase.
