A Grant Old Time!

It's September of 2018, and the school year at Bennington College has just begun. A sophomore Emma minds her business, going about the routines she had established as a freshman the year prior. In the Welling common room, she is killing time between classes, playing a round of a fighting video game, when in walks a new freshman. "Hey, I'm Five. I bet I can beat you at this game." Who was this kid, and who did he think he was, prancing up to an upperclassman he hadn't ever met to challenge them? Emma didn't know whether to be impressed by his boldness, or annoyed by his hubris. Either way, she took the challenge, and the two quickly became friends. As the year passed, they began to establish routines that involved one another including: -Eating breakfast together at 7:00 each morning (even though Five's earliest class wasn't until 11 am) -Attending music events, dodgeball, and parties together (just as friends, you guys!) -Studying together (Emma started using flashcards to study, because you obviously need a second person for flashcards). and so much more. They insisted they were only friends, with no romantic interest in one another whatsoever. But in May of 2019, the romantic chemistry was undeniable, even to them. After an unoffical first date at Mass MoCA, the two decided to officially give a romantic relationship a shot. Six years after meeting, they will be tying the knot!
