We swiped right on Tinder and quickly made plans to meet up for drinks at our local bottle shop, GB's. That night became the first of many long nights of talking, laughing, and warm and fuzzy feelings beginning to bloom. Each day we spent together, we learned more about each other, and found how similarly we see the world, and how our experiences have shaped us into two people who fit perfectly together. After several months of "casually dating", Faye worked up the courage to ask Emma to be her girlfriend, to which Emma replied, "I thought we were already girlfriends!" We are so excited to entwine our lives together forever, and we look forward to celebrating with all of you!

We had the joyous opportunity to select a family name that would carry us together as a family. We of course played with the idea of Kinney or Strawn being our family name, since after all our marriage is the joining of our two families. But we quickly realized it would be impossible to choose between the two. We even considered trying to make some kind of combination of our names - Kawn or Strawny didn’t really work. We knew we needed to go an entirely different route, maybe even make up a last name for ourselves, and the name that came of that was Naxby - honoring our dogs Nyx and Baby, of course. We spent a few months thinking that was the one, but something felt a little off. It didn’t quite fit. We were in pursuit of a name that we really resonated with and that felt like US. So the next idea was to look into our family trees and see if any names jumped out to us. That’s when we came across Moose, Emma’s great-great Grandmother’s maiden name. It struck us as perfectly whimsical while carrying a bit of history. Not to mention, it’s super cute and cottage-core 😜 We are so excited to start our family as the Moose’s.
