Girdwood is about a 45 minute drive from Anchorage. For those not local, a rental car would be most effective means of transportation to the wedding venue and reception. Additionally, for those wanting to stay in Girdwood for the night after the wedding- there are many Airbnbs in the area as well as a few smaller lodges and the Alyeska Resort Hotel.
