Heads Up - NEW TAX

Answer

New Tax - all visitors are required to pay a daily tax of 76.00 Pesos per Room per Night (approximately $5 USD depending on the exchange rate. This MUST BE PAID IN FULL, IN CASH UPON CHECK-IN AT THE HOTEL. For guests staying 3 nights, this means bringing $15, for guests staying 7 nights, that means bringing $35. Please DO NOT feel the need to acquire Pesos (we will make sure you have everything you need). USD will also work just fine when tipping.

Question

What about transportation to and from the airport?

Answer

For folks staying 3 or more nights, there is an airport/hotel shuttle that runs from 8am-8pm. If you have a shorter stay, or will need transportation outside of this time frame, we will help you to make arrangements, just include this information when you email Mary, as she will help coordinate this. When in doubt, ask Mary.

What should I wear?

Answer

During the day, beach attire with a cover up is appropriate for breakfast and lunch. For dinner, the nicer restaurants do require men to wear long pants and closed toed shoes, and for women, resort attire is appropriate. For the wedding, we're celebrating so bright colors and prints stand out best!

What does all-inclusive mean?

Answer

An all-inclusive resort includes all the essentials in the booking price. Besides accommodation, this includes food, drinks (and alcohol), activities, and entertainment to be included, without having to pay extra for it. Most guests bring cash (US Currency is good) to tip wait staff. If you are staying 6 nights, you qualify for a complimentary excursion through the hotel.

What about the group rate?

In order to make your reservation, please reach out to Mother of the Bride Mary Davidsen via email at 42h0nmary@gmail.com with the following information: Arrival and Departure date per room Name and number of guests per room, and whom will be staying in each room (parents, brother, sister, daughter, son, other) Upgrade to Ocean View or not Beds: king size bed or two double beds

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We strongly encourage you to stay at the GR Solaris, as we want to spend time with you! There is a 3-night minimum for your stay in order to qualify for the group rate. Please feel free to extend your stay for as long as you like. The group rate applies to your stay for up to 3 days before and 3 days after the ceremony. We chose the Holiday Weekend to give you an extra day to travel, and we know this a vacation for you too! Most guests will likely arrive on Thursday or Friday and depart on Monday. We strongly recommend arriving by Friday at the latest so you don't miss the ceremony!
