In albanian weddings the bride, “nuse,” and the groom, “dhëndër,” traditionally celebrate for seven days before the ceremony; Emma and Eri’s wedding will be two days. The Albanian wedding dance, “Shota,” involves guests dancing, waving a handkerchief in the air while the dhëndër burns the handkerchief of the nuse, symbolizing the two becoming one. A second traditional wedding dance, “Napoleon,” invites guests to shower the couple with small bills of cash as they dance at the center.
Recommended restaurants, bars, and destinations have been listed on the wedding website. Plan to visit cities Valbonë, Shkodër, Krujë, Durrës, Vlorë, and Korçë.
For our destination wedding, please RSVP on Zola no later than November 15th.
The couple loves this question. Please see "A Series of Perfect Events" on the 'Home' tab of our website to read our story. Spoiler: it was not online.
