Everything will take place at the Sappington home: 315 Hamilton Drive, Terre Haute, IN 47803 The ceremony will be in back and the reception will be in the front yard.
Every single reception guest is also invited to the ceremony at 4:30 pm EST. Some seats will be reserved for the bridal party and immediate family members. Other than that, sit wherever you like. We know some people like to see the ceremony and some people just want to party--either is fine with us! However, shuttles end before the ceremony starts, so if you want to use the shuttle, you might as well attend the ceremony too! Please show up early for the ceremony. Once it starts, you will not be able to trickle in. Also, the ceremony will be a phones-off event. The wedding photographer will get all the pictures you could possibly want. We want everyone to be present (and phones in pictures don’t look as pretty).
There is none! We assume most people will use this opportunity to look nice, but no need to feel like you have to wear any certain thing. This is an outdoor party first and foremost, so if you don't want to wear a full suit, that's fine. If you want to wear something sparkly like it's New Years Eve, please do. It might be cold at night, so please bring a jacket!
We’re glad you asked! If you leave from the north side of the city, the drive is usually around 3 hours and 45 minutes. During traffic, it can be around 4 hours. Also, don’t forget about the time change! Terre Haute is on EST, so you lose an hour. If you want to be able to stop along the way and make it in time to use the shuttles, we suggest you to leave Chicago at 9 am CST so you have some time to get ready before the wedding once you get there. PLEASE note that if you are leaving from Chicago for the ceremony the day of, we need to request an early check-in for you at the hotel because check-in is at 3 pm. Please contact Emma or Eli to let them know, and we will request an early check in for you.
Eli's nieces and nephews will be the only kids at the event, as this is primarily an adults-only event. If you cannot find childcare and therefore cannot make it, we understand!
